DIRECTIONS TO MY LAB

I am located in Redding, a four hour drive north of San Francisco. United has a shuttle flight to Redding from San Francisco, but flights are often delayed due to congestion at SFO. There is also a Northwest (Horizon) flight from Portland, but the flight from Portland to Redding takes almost three hours, due to intermediate stops. The simplest way to get here is to fly to Sacramento and drive north, which is about 2-1/2 hours. See map below.

From Sacramento: take I-5 north to Redding, take the Highway 44 West exit to downtown Redding. Once Highway 44 ends in downtown Redding, stay in the middle lanes, and continue up Shasta Street to Magnolia, about six blocks. Take a left on Magnolia Avenue, and the house is on the left hand side of the street, about two and a half blocks down. If you see the Planetarium or Placer Street, you're half a block too far.

From San Francisco: take I-80 north to 505 north, to I-5, then take I-5 north to Redding, , take the Highway 44 West exit to downtown Redding. Once Highway 44 ends in downtown Redding, stay in the middle lanes, and continue up Shasta Street to Magnolia, about six blocks.
